This weekend Jasmine and Mo’s kittens are 5.5 weeks old. They all need names–except for the orange one. Snoring Daddy wants to call him Tommy. As in “Tommy the Cat” by Primus.

Want to help name them? I’m taking suggestions. Here they are in birth order.

I know she looks rough. I swear there is nothing wrong with her, she just woke up–that and I think it takes a little while for tortie kittens to grow into their looks. I’m sure she will be every bit as beautiful as her mama, Jasmine.

Next is our little solid black boy–he has no other color on him, except his claws are white. That’s it. He’s a case. He’s almost as vocal as is big sister.

Their eyes are all in the process of starting to change colors right now. That and the flash made them look funky.

This is Tommy the cat. The kids have been calling him Mini-Mo though.

I wonder why?

A father and his sons…. can I get a collective “Aaaaah” ?

Last is this ball of fluff. She’s what I believe is called a diluted tortiseshell.

She was the last one born and has always been a bit bigger than the other three. We are still discussing what we plan to do about these four babies. We may keep more than one, maybe even all of them. But this little girl is definitely staying.

There is very little in this world that is as entertaining and stress-relieving as playing with kittens. I swear to jeebus, it’s true. Now, I’m gonna go play with my kittens some more. Nyah nyah nyah nyah!

EDIT TO ADD: I’ve been overruled by the kids and the husband. They have been named DeeDee (the girl named her for Doodlebops DeeDee, just as Mo is named for Doodlebops Mo), Colby (the oldest named him. I don’t know where he came up with it), Tommy the Cat (Snoring Daddy already had his say a long time ago), and Tabitha (a name I had suggested and SD has now run with it.)
