Before Christmas, I promised a giveaway. Unfortunately, I got excited about the possibility and opened my trap before we had finalized the details. By the time I had a product in my grubby
So when I saw that it was time for the bloggy giveaway carnival I knew it was time to announce the first ever Sleepingmommy.com giveaway! Here’s how it works.
1. Leave a comment that you want to be entered in the drawing. Please leave a VALID email address so I can contact you if you win. Double and triple check it to make sure. I don’t want you to miss out because you didn’t respond to my email.
2. If you leave a comment and write a post on your blog linking back to this post (click the title of the post to get the permalink from the navigation bar in your browser) I will enter your name twice.
3. On Sunday, February 3, I will close comments to any further entries with the kickoff of the Super Bowl.
4. Sometime during the Super Bowl, I’ll hold the drawing.
5. On Monday, Februrary 4, I will post the winner (and pictures from the drawing).
6. Please, only those with an address in the United States are eligible for this drawing. I apologize for excluding those outside the U.S. but customs is too much hassle.
7. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to my email (so basically by Wednesday night) with their mailing address. If you don’t respond by then I will have to draw again.
Now what’s up for grabs, you ask? I have a Parrot Hands-free Speakerphone minikit. It’s Bluetooth enabled and easily fits in a pocket. It has a built in visor clip for the car or you can take it with you for a nice long soak in the bathtub and not have to worry about dropping your phone in the tub while you chat.
Snoring Daddy set it up to try it out. We were able to place the device anywhere in our fairly large living room (30ft x 20ft) and still hear the person on the other end loud and clear. Even better, she could hear us without interference and without our having to yell.
Here’s an online review I found that provides images and a much better description of all its technical specifications and capabilities than I could.
I’ve seen this selling for anywhere from $60 to $100 online. As a busy mom, trying to balance three kids, graduate school and housekeeping chores, I find it difficult talking on the cell phone with it clutched between my shoulder and ear. And I hate those stupid ear buds–they never want to stay in my ear or they just hurt. So whenever someone calls, I usually stop whatever I am doing to talk and this cuts into precious time. This product allowed me talk–hands free–loud and clear and do whatever it is I needed to do at the same time.
Snoring Daddy was extremely impressed with the Parrot Hand-free Speakerphone minikit and he’s the expert when it comes to these things (10 years experience in car/home audio and electronics makes him the expert on all electronics in our house–that and his Y chromosome.) I had planned to have him write up a review but he had to go and earn money so that we could continue to have water and lights and a roof over our head.
