For those following along, the suckage of yesterday seems to have abated and I have moved on with my life.  Thank goodness bad days do come to an end. Meanwhile I’ve been wasting time exploring a new site I just discovered.

Have you all heard about this handy little site called Chore Wars?  Phat Mommy posted about in her Twitter feed and being intrigued by her tweet, I just had to click over and have been there ever since.

I’m busy creating “Adventures” aka chores for my household to claim and earn points with.  I’m hoping that since it’s set up like a game that MAYBE just MAYBE I can get my husband and children excited about it and doing chores.  Because God knows that nagging and/or offering an allowance doesn’t get me anywhere.  They can create characters and choose chores that will earn points and treasure that will take them through different levels within our “party.”  I may even set up an reward system based on how many points they earn through the site.

Why do I have a feeling that I’m going to be the only one racking up points on this thing?  Oh well, it’s not like I have anything else to do, now is it?  No, those thesis chapters that are due in a few measely weeks can wait, and so can all those books I’m supposed to be reading and writing about. 

I gotta get back to setting this thing up and eating leftover cupcakes so that after I pick up the kids in a couple of hours I can show it to them and try to brainwash convince them its the coolest game ever!
