We still haven’t found Hank. I don’t think we will at this point. I’m convinced that someone took him.
Meanwhile the dogs are still getting out of the fence every few days. The ground is so uneven that it’s easy for them to find holes along the fenceline to push under. I keep plugging them with rock from our yard and they just find another spot. We are thinking we don’t have much choice except to put in some electric fence to keep them away from the fenceline.
I fully intended to post some photographs from our trip to Disney World at the beginning of the month. I’m still waiting on my husband to give me the files for my computer. He has them on his laptop, he just hasn’t transferred all of them to mine.
The last week or so Snoring Daddy has been dropping comments about “vacation ownership” and the Disney Vacation Club. Today fedex delivered a big thick envelope from the Disney Vacation Club. I think Snoring Daddy and I need to have a talk.
I rearranged the living room furniture yesterday. Snoring Daddy walked in, looked around and said, “Have we lived here that long?” It’s not that we’ve lived here so long that I want to change the furniture arrangement (which I usually do because I’m trying to make a room feel newer or cleaner or better laid out somehow and I really don’t feel that need here yet). I’m simply getting the living room ready for a few additional pieces of furniture. Snoring Daddy is expecting a payment from his book publisher this week and a portion of that money is coming to me to do what I want with it. I’m using some of it to buy a recliner and a chaise to match our loveseat and couch so we have some more seating in our living room. I was just moving everything to where I want it so that I could put the new pieces where I plan to put them.
We decorated our porch for Halloween last night–well, mostly decorated. We still have a few lights and webs to put out.
Last weekend Snoring Daddy and I cleaned out and organized the garage. There’s room to park cars in there now! Well at least one car anyway. It’s a little tight for two.
Last week I spent a total of 5 hours (spread over three days) mowing our entire lawn using a push lawnmower. I’m thinking this spring we have to purchase a new riding lawn mower to replace the 1979 model with the shredded tires and missing brakes sitting next to my driveway right now. Mowing the lawn with a push lawn mower is great exercise and all, but I don’t have 5 hours every week or two to spend cutting the grass.
School is going well. I’m writing two papers this semster and reading 15 additional books for a different class. The two papers are connected so at least I’m not researching two different topics.
I’ve been struggling with my eating habits again. Some days I do really well, but most days I don’t. Sometimes I really feel that I will never get my weight to a healthy range and keep it there. Maybe I’m doomed to be fat forever?

I am so sorry about your sweet pup. I know that the unknown really sucks. I will pray that if anything he is at least in a safe place.
So your animals are escape artists huh?! What a drag that must be…do what you need to to keep them safe and never look back. We are so good to our pets eh?
Be well and stay strong you are doing a wonderful job keeping it all together!
I’m so sorry about Hank.
Hey, a thing to try is tent pegs, either the metal ones or the big plastic kind, to fix the fence. That’s what we had to do with our chainlink. Worth a try. Sorry about your doggy.
You are not doomed to be fat forever. You can do it. You can be healthy and you know it. I have faith in you. I’ve been there and I know how it feels. Can you make one change today to help you lose weight, or to feel more healthy? I know you can.
