The good, the bad and the ugly.

The Good: I’m in love.

This just arrived yesterday.

Dyson DC15 the ball

Snoring Daddy lurks on Woot.com most every day and has been waiting for one of these to come up. It’s a refurbished model so we got it for $200 less than the retail price.

My five year old asked if he could sweep the floors again today. He helped yesterday, and that’s the beauty of this thing. He COULD sweep the floors, because it’s just that maneuverable.

I *heart* Dyson. So far it IS all it’s cracked up to be.

Even More Good: Our Disney tickets and hotel vouchers arrived today. I can’t believe we are actually going to go! Just one month until we are out of here!

The Bad: Time is running out.

Now, I’m more than ready for the kids to go back to school. However, I’d like a little more time before I go back. I have two GIANT textbooks I’m supposed to have read for the first day of class on the 21st. I’m not making the kind of progress I should. And I still have that paper I have to make up before the end of the fall semester from LAST fall semester and I will be writing an additional paper this fall. I’m getting a little freaked.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.

The Worse: I fell on my wet kitchen floor the day before yesterday. It hurt. I twisted my ankle and knee and hurt my back. It’s not so bad that I have had to get back on crutches like the last time I hurt any of those three body parts. But I’m babying them all, which means no exercise right now. Which isn’t helping my weightloss progress too much.

At this rate it will be over 80 weeks before I reach my goal weight. Yes I did map it out on a calendar.

I obsess, therefore I am.

The Ugly: We just made our first mortgage payment on this house. We are still choking on it.

The Ugliest of All: We are still not free of that old house. Snoring Daddy made the comment when we were trying to move that the old house just didn’t seem to want to let us go.

The guy who bought it keeps coming up with stuff he wants us to do to it. Unfortunately we weren’t specific enough in the contract and he’s trying to take advantage of that fact. Plus the guy we hired to do some of the work flaked out on us. Thank goodness we didn’t pay him up front.

The rains earlier this summer have not helped. We still haven’t finished building our fence for the dogs, because of the rain and Snoring Daddy’s deadlines plus the crap he’s had to do at the old house.

Meanwhile I’m still gradually bringing in more boxes from the garage. I figure if I unpack one or two every day or so, eventually I’ll get everything inside that is supposed to be indoors. Right? Right? RIGHT????

Please say I’m right.

    Right. Absolutely.

And yeah! Dyson DOES rock. I have that model, too. I LOVE TO VACUUM NOW! Isn’t that scary? I think that’s scary.

P.S. I started WeightWatchers on Monday. I hope the meetings help me stay on track. No more falling off the ding dang wagon!

Oooh, past time to get something in writing from dude buying your house! Simple paper - dates, signatures, and lock that puppy down.

Just keep your eye on the prize (Disney) and the rest will fall into place!

You will get all unpacked eventually. It will happen! :)

Yes, you are right. I hope you threw a lot of stuff away BEFORE you moved; even if you did I would suggest you do it again. You won’t miss most of it. I find that most of my husband’s stuff can easily be spared!

It will get down. Yes, oh, yes it will… (Sending you positive waves to you!)

Yes it will get done! Don’t sweat the small stuff. Breathe in …..breathe out… just like you said. Oh btw ty for the info on Spark people. I’m passing that one on to everyone I know. I won’t talk about how many weeks, months, eek perhaps years I’m not ready to see how long it will take. The good news is I’ve lost 20 lbs so far and that was without spark people… good luck to us both.

You are right and unfortunately this is life. Keep hanging because it does all settle down and you will feel proud of yourself for making it through. I’m proud of you! You are a great wife and mom. That’s why I like coming back here.
