Definitely not normal…but in a good way

My poor sisterinlaw. She’s pregnant and due the 20th. She’s miserable. We all know the story. Well she went into labor this weekend and the nurses sent her home after monitoring. Normal proceedure, right? The problem is that she was dialated to a 3 and having regular pains and they assured her she was in the early stages of labor. So they offer her something for the pain. She asks them if it will stop her labor and they assure her no, it’s like tylenol.

So she takes it and goes home to eat and rest, thinking she would be going back later in the day or the next day.

Instead she’s knocked out. So later, hours later, my sisterinlaw and brotherinlaw call back to the hospital to find out what they gave her. Turns out they gave her TWO percocets. How is THAT like tylenol?

So anyway, she’s talking to her 59 year old mother, my motherinlaw about how discouraged and upset she is. And in her typical off-beat, completely not-normal way, my motherinlaw announced:

“I think your baby is a Decepticon and that’s why she won’t come out. She’s deceiving us.”

I already wanted to see the new Transformers movie, but when my motherinlaw starts making pop-culture statements based upon a movie she has seen, that moves it to the top of my priority list.
